The N end of the channel between Hennøya and the mainland is the site of the reported sinking of a Dutch vessel 250 years ago. We conducted an echo sounder search of the N-most 500m of the channel, and a visual underwater search of an area about 100m by 100m to the SW of the green channel marker. The seabed is sand with extensive seaweed cover. The most interesting thing we found was the marine life on the mooring chain of the channel marker.
