Skjerboen

Location

W of Stattlandet

Position

62º 08´N 05° 05´E

Depth

10-40m

Chart

P803

The Skjerboen is an unmarked rock with 1m clearance right next to shipping lane round the exposed headland of Stattlandet, and looks a likely spot for a wreck. The top of the rock is split by very pretty gullies in 10-12m. There were plenty of crabs. The S and W sides of the rock drop steeply, but not vertical, onto a boulder seabed at about 40m. It was a good dive - but no wreck. If there is one it must have floated off and sunk in deeper water. Or maybe there's something on the N side....

Plenty of ships lost around Stadt have yet to be found. There's a list of some of them in the link below. Stadt is very exposed, and experiences huge seas in bad weather.
